LEARN HOW TO DESIGN FOR THE CHANGING WAYS WE LEARN AT WORK

Are you tired of delivering generic solutions to unique problems?

How often have your training participants or clients (internal or external) told you “This wouldn’t work HERE”?

Have you ever coached an executive without feeling confident that you understood the organization’s real leadership needs?

It is easy to end up addressing a superficial symptom while leaving the underlying problem untouched.

As you know, every engagement should start with a thorough assessment. But assessments can easily go sour. Executives can be reluctant to act. Employees feel exposed rather than engaged. Those closest to the real problem become defensive rather than curious. Leadership feels overwhelmed by new issues.

Who is it for?

Trainers, coaches, and consultants, both internal and external

What will you take away?

Through a mix of presentation, discussion, participant cases studies, and structured exercises, you will learn:

  • an organization assessment strategy that ensures that data is used and employees feel safe and involved.
  • a "map" for an organization, so you can be confident you have looked in all the right places.
  • numerous assessment techniques, with special attention to focus groups and employee surveys.
  • Four new survey strategies that increase the power of your assessment.

And have you ever been frustrated by being limited to doing training even as you learn about the broader issues facing your client that the training will not address? In this workshop you will learn how to use assessment as the stepping stone to a broader consulting engagement, working with the whole organization in a multi-faceted change effort.

Work on your own concerns during the Workshop

As a participant, you are invited to bring in concrete assessment challenges, which we will use as case material in a combination of presentation and discussion.
