Sitting on a Comma:
Breaking Down What's Keeping You Stuck

Virtual Workshop

February 24, 2022 • 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Sitting on a Comma™ helps individuals explore and assess the landscape of being stuck. In our jobs, projects, careers, goals and personal lives, we often find ourselves sitting on a comma™ and not knowing how to move forward. During this pandemic, Talent Development professionals, who support people in the workplace, are experiencing the effects of sitting on a comma™ in multiple ways.

Through the process of tuning in, decluttering and visualizing, participants learn how to become objective noticers of their comma. This process leads the way to exploring possibilities, creating motion and setting intentions for becoming unstuck and getting off the comma™.

Sitting on a Comma™ is a workshop designed specifically for you, as a professional and an individual. Many ATD sessions provide tools and expertise to be shared with others in the workplace. This tool is intended to support you and your needs, while you navigate the difficulties and challenges of your experience in the workplace and beyond. This tool is yours.

About the Speaker:

Paul Briley leverages his 25+ years of experience and leadership in talent development to help you bring your vision to life. He has led the learning function for large organizations and consulted with business leaders, focused on creating impact for people, culture and results. His early experience on the front lines of sales and service organizations creates a unique ability to see challenges from the customer's point of view.

Paul builds relationships based on a sense of purpose, deep inquiry and having fun in the process. When the pandemic and racial reckonings happened in 2020, Paul found himself sitting on a comma™ (along with the rest of the world). Through tuning in, decluttering and visualizing, Paul’s horizons expanded and his values shifted. By 2021, he realized that getting himself off the comma meant helping others do the same. Off the Comma™ Coaching was born.

Paul is a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) since 2005 and is completing his coaching certification. Paul also planted his first garden on his balcony and is enjoying watching his own broccoli grow for the first time. Like the broccoli, he’s growing one day at a time and is confident of the fruits it will bear.
