Senior Organizational Effectiveness Consultant - Sacramento, CA

Description

Provides change management consultation, guidance and support throughout the plan, design, implementation and measurement phases of change initiatives. Assigned to one or more project teams supporting project directors to facilitate a smooth transition of the people aspects of a change process including; changes to business processes, systems, technology, job roles and organizational structures. Uses identified best practices to design and execute change management plans that minimize resistance and maximize employee engagement. Serves as a liaison between the change management team and the project team. Advises project teams on effective change strategy. Completes a range of specific tasks associated with the people aspects of planned changes including; stakeholder identification, impact analysis, communication & training plans, organization and job design, business readiness assessments and change measurement. Supports and engages senior leaders and executives to help them fulfill the role of change sponsor. May provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.


This role can be located either in Emeryville or Sacramento.

Qualifications

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology is required.   Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Master's Degree desired.

 

Preferred Licensure and Certification:

Project Management Professional - PMP

Change Management Certification

Lean Six Sigma Certification

 

Required Experience:
Requires an educational background in Human Resources, as would normally be acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology or the equivalent as obtained through a BA or BS in another discipline and project management/change leadership experience as typically acquired in 6 or more years of experience.
Must have experience demonstrating the ability to develop, implement and administer organization development or change management programs.
Healthcare system experience is helpful, particularly in a multiple stakeholder environment.
Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of management and staff to achieve desired outcome results as well as to manage large projects and initiate/ implement/ administer diverse programs.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Must have extensive knowledge of change management and how people go through a change and the change process.
Must understand project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
Must understand process improvement methodologies.
Must be familiar with business process redesign and reengineering in healthcare settings.
Must have knowledge of effective leadership and employee engagement strategies.
Must understand how to assess training needs and developing training plans to prepare employees for changing roles and responsibilities, developing curriculum and training materials, coaching leaders and managers.
Must have extensive knowledge in planning for and writing communications to proactively manage predictable reactions and resistance to change efforts.
Must understand how to successfully influencing and engaging executives, leaders, managers and staff.
Must have the skills to effectively lead change and transition.
Requires strong collaboration skills to facilitate open sharing of information between various areas of functional expertise within the system and the affiliates.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage/recommend through functional (vs. line) leadership and personal influence to achieve a positive effect.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships in an extremely fast paced and demanding work environment.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

Ability to develop creative solutions.
Must have demonstrated organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects within given timelines.
