About the Speaker:

Dr. Karla Peters-Van Havel is a distinguished scholar and leader in social innovation and organizational development. She currently serves as an Institute for Social Innovation (ISI) Fellow at Fielding Graduate University. Additionally, she is the President and Founder of the Center for Dynamic Knowledge and leads KVH Virtual Productions. With a diverse academic background, including a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems specializing in Information Society and Knowledge Organizations and two master’s degrees (leadership, strategic communication, and human development), Karla's research on "The Sense of Community in a Geo-Dispersed Corporate Functional Subgroup" has earned widespread recognition for its insights. Beyond academia, Karla is actively engaged in community volunteer work and is a sought-after international speaker on fostering professional communities across geographical boundaries. Her expertise has been published in prestigious journals and influential books, including the International Journal of Human Resources Development and Management (Inderscience) and "Reframing Human Capital for Organizational Excellence" (Bloomsbury Publishing India). As a former professor at the University of Nevada-Reno and former President of the Institute for Management Studies, Karla brings a wealth of experience to her coaching and speaking engagements. Her international reach spans vital topics such as creating a sense of community in geo-dispersed organizations, psychological safety, inclusion and diversity, and creative strategic thinking.


Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations made more than five (5) calendar days prior to the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made three (3) to five (5) calendar days prior to the event will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than three (3) calendar days prior to the event and no-shows will not be refunded or credited. Any unpaid balance due will remain according to the above guidelines. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
