Is Consulting for You?
Virtual Workshop

August 17, 2021 • 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

The mind set – and the skill set – of the consultant are unusual... and they are different from that of the vendor, or of the expert. In today’s GIG economy, consulting may be the best option at some point in your career. But before you risk your reputation and your income, how can tell whether consulting is a viable option for you?

You might be thinking that you should not be a consultant because...

  1. You hate selling!
  2. There’s so much you don’t yet know about organizations.
  3. What if the client’s problem is beyond your ability to deliver as promised?
  4. You have heard consultants vacillate between feast and famine.

In reality, none of these should stand in your way. I never sell myself. I always feel like I’m learning new things. I am at my best when my client is at their worst. My income has been variable, but my internal colleagues have had to weather worse.

In this workshop, participants will:

  1. Understand the difference between a consultant, a vendor, and an expert
  2. Explore the key factors of a sound temperament for a consultant

Technology Requirements:
This session will be conducted through Zoom. Log-in instructions will be sent upon registration.
