Awards Dinner

Keynote by Shola Richards,
Founder of The Positivity SolutionTM

Join us to celebrate the 2017 Champions of Learning Awards winners! Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. Network with learning and development professionals in our community.

We invite you to learn about talent development best practices by individuals, teams, and leaders in the Sacramento region. Enjoy an inspiring keynote from Shola Richards -- Connecting to Your Excellence: 3 Questions to Change How You Work, Live, and Lead.

Shola is a nationwide keynote speaker, a best-selling author of Making Work Work, a workplace positivity expert, and the Director of Training and Organizational Development for UCLA Health. In his highly-engaging, actionable keynote talk, Shola will introduce three transformative questions that will positively change how we work, live, and lead—starting today. Start 2018 on the right foot!

By attending, you will:

  • Discover a technique for reclaiming your own power, and effectively dealing with people who are challenging, rude, and disruptive—inside and outside of work.
  • Identify a strategy to remain committed to constant positive improvement, long after the keynote ends.
  • Hear stories that will inspire you to take the necessary action to positively change your workplace, your life, and the world.

All participants will receive a free copy of Shola’s book,
Making Work Work!

Shola Richards’ life’s mission is an ambitious one: To end generations of professional suffering, simply by changing how we treat each other at work. Whether it is helping people to deal with soul-destroying bully bosses, passive-aggressive coworkers, or toxic work cultures that value competition and profit more than they value teamwork and their people—Shola is committed to leading the worldwide movement that will change all of it.

Shola is a dynamic keynote speaker, best-selling author of Making Work Work, a workplace positivity expert, an award-winning Director of Training, and a positivity writer with a passionate worldwide following. His articles have been read by readers in over 160 countries, and his work has been featured in the Huffington Post, Forbes, Black Enterprise, Complete Wellbeing India, Business Insider Australia, and in numerous other publications all over the world who recognize him as an authority on workplace happiness and engagement.

As a speaker, Shola has shared his transformative message with top universities, Silicon Valley, leading healthcare organizations, and in his greatest honor to date, as a keynote speaker for the Department of Homeland Security three days before the 15th Anniversary of 9/11, under the Obama Administration.

Last, but certainly not least, Shola is a father, husband, identical twin, and a self-professed “kindness extremist” who will not rest until bullying and incivility is extinct from the American workplace.
