Engineering Training & Organizational Development - Livermore, CA

Job Description

We have an opening for a Training and Organizational Development (T&OD) Specialist to provide a full range of services, such as planning, scheduling, publicizing, tracking, evaluating, and coordinating new and existing professional programs within the Engineering Directorate. You will partner with our division customers, external consultants, vendors, instructors, colleagues, and management throughout the training process, focusing on identifying appropriate Training and Organizational Development (T&OD) opportunities, enrolling attendees in courses, tracking and reporting completion of trainings, maintaining a master training calendar, and managing the day-to-day activities of directorate training programs. This position is in the Engineering Associate Director’s Office

This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Organizational Development, Instructional Technology, Industrial Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent level of competence obtained through experience, education and/or training with prior experience and a graduate degree or professional certification.
  • Possess an applied advanced knowledge and understanding as a training system designer, training data analysis, or similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience of training and organizational development theories, techniques, policies, procedures, practices, and system as a seasoned professional.
  • Working knowledge of employee training software that includes, analytics, customizable reports, and the performance of training programs or related Learning Management System.
  • Accomplished in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote) and other learning software.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously, working effectively with limited supervision in an environment with changing deadlines, instructions, priorities, and frequent interruptions.
