Director, Business & Leadership Programs - Davis, CA
Responsibilities:
This position is charged with advancing and overseeing a portfolio of educational and training programs in a variety of business, operations, management and leadership domains that prepare adults for upskilling, reskilling, career transition and advancement. Under general oversight, the incumbent establishes a vision for portfolio growth in alignment with the divisional strategic plan; provides strategy and leadership for start-up programmatic initiatives; works collaboratively across the division, campus and professional community and encompassing a variety of subjects and disciplines within the business sector; and has accountability for the academic integrity and financial sustainability of all programs created. The incumbent is expected to be a leader in the field, bring expertise in workforce development strategies and approaches, and have relevant professional experience and networks. The incumbent must possess a strong command of higher education; capacity for high-level interaction with diverse campus and community experts; facility with market intelligence; capacity to conduct needs assessments and lead curriculum development targeting post-traditional learners; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; experience in business and partnership development; and, the capacity to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Appointment/Compensation:
This is a full-time academic term appointment with an initial 1-year appointment, eligible for continued reappointment. Salary commensurate with level and experience. UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education is unable to sponsor a work visa (H-1B) to fill this position. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are legally authorized to work in the United States.
