Preparing for the New CPTD Exam

The pilot administration of the newly revised Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) exam will be held in August and September 2020. If you are planning to take the new CPTD exam, join Holly Batts, associate director of the ATD Certification Institute, and CPTD candidates Noël Zykowski and Brandi Maynard to learn about what you can do to prepare.

Holly Batts is associate director of ATD's Certification Institute and has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Her background in developing and maintaining certification programs includes mid- to high-stakes assessments, extensive work with organizing SMEs, and a thorough understanding of the certification process. She holds a master of science degree in organizational leadership as well as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications.
Brandi Maynard is a learning and performance architect with 23 years in education and the past six years focused on leadership development. She graduated from Gonzaga University with a doctorate in leadership studies, and when she is not enjoying the Pacific Northwest Mountains from the seat of her motorcycle, she is developing engaging learning opportunities for school leaders across the United States. Noël Zykowski, APTD, is the manager, global training and education for WorkForce Software. In this role she works with partners, customers, and business leaders to create dynamic learning opportunities. Prior to joining WorkForce Software, she was a training consultant for Thomson Reuters.
She is the vice president of finance for the ATD's Ann Arbor chapter, holds the Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification, and is currently a candidate for the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential.
