President - T.S. Hamilton
ATD Sacramento has provided me with so many opportunities. I am really looking forward to giving back to the community through my wisdom and leadership. My vision for 2020 is to bring the community of learning and development professionals even closer together. We have many amazing professionals, spanning various industries, doing great things. I want to leverage our collective abilities to really elevate learning and development in the Sacramento region.
Director of Programs – Matthew Clark
Matthew Clark works in the Learning & Development Office at the California Department of Education. Prior to the Department of Education, he worked in the U.S. Senate in Washington D.C., served in the Peace Corps in Kosovo and Georgia, and taught Sophomore English on the Southside of Chicago. He has an M.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley.
Director of Membership – Alexa Dimengo
My vision is to help members feel welcome, informed, and provide them the guidance in achieving the best ATD membership experience possible. ATD allows for members to connect, grow, and learn from each other, and I am excited to help others within the training, coaching and development industry build strong relationships in Sacramento.
Director of Marketing & Communications – Aldo Chavez
Aldo currently works for the California School Boards Association in Governance Technology. He works directly with California school districts in helping them implement an agenda and policy management software. This includes training school district staff, superintendents and board members. Aldo received his B.A. in Anthropology from Sac State, completed an eLearning Design & Development Certification from SFSU, and is currently in a graduate program in Instructional Science & Technology through CSU Monterey Bay. Aldo is passionate about learning and is determined to increase engagement and share events with ATD Sacramento Chapter members.
My personal mission includes helping others to reach their full potential by learning, growing, and taking action. ATD will allow me the opportunity to further that mission by collaborating with a team to provide ATD members with programs that will appeal to the diverse needs of the membership, allow members to immediately apply techniques learn for increased (personal and professional) productivity, address current and future trends in our industry that can be adapted for a wide variety of practical applications in the workplace.
Director of Finance – Lori Carlson
I have had the good fortune of connecting with so many inspiring ATD Sacramento members and am excited to share my enthusiasm for our local chapter through service on the Board. I believe we are best able to achieve our personal and professional goals through a growth mindset and service to others, which is why I love all that ATD Sacramento has to offer. I am challenged to learn new ways to approach training and development through participation in chapter events and feel energized by the fantastic networking opportunities. I am committed to giving back to ATD Sacramento in 2020 through effective financial planning and management as we enhance program offerings and expand our community.
