ASTD estimates that U.S. organizations spent $125.9 billion on employee learning and development in 2009. Nearly two-thirds of the U.S. total ($78.6 billion) was spent on the internal learning function, such as staff salaries and internal development costs. The remainder ($47.3 billion) was allocated to external services such as workshops, vendors and external events.

These types of informative statistics appear in ASTD National's
2010 State of the Industry Report, the annual review of trends in workplace learning and performance.

Dr. Kella Price--an ASTD National Advisor for Chapters--will share insights on the statistics, trends, and best practices in the workplace learning and performance industry heading into 2011. You'll hear how companies are investing learning dollars, how they feel about e-learning, and more.

This is a FREE box-lunch event, so bring yourself and a friend. Please be sure to register so we know how many are coming.

Hope to see you there!
