AppleCare Senior Technical Advisor Trainer - Sacramento, CA


An AppleCare Sr Technical Advisor Trainer (Flex Trainer) delivers AppleCare training programs on an as-needed basis. They also provide contact center support in customer facing roles. The Sr. Technical Support Advisor Trainer will work with the AppleCare Training Team to ensure the overall quality of training programs. This is a work from home position and we can consider candidates from cities across the US-you do not need to live in the city this is posted in to be considered


  • Must be proficient in at least two of the following areas: MAC, Wireless Multimedia products, iApps, iPod, iPhone, Mac OS X, and ITS
  • Apple Instructor Qualification Course preferred, but not required. If not, it must be completed/passed within 3 months of training assignment. Travel will be required to complete qualification course.
  • Must be familiar with learning principles
  • Proven facilitation skills, including ability to lead discussions, conduct demonstrations, use role-play, and deliver lecture as required
  • Tier 2 or equivalent experience preferred
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a customer-drive, team-player environment
  • Must be able to work non-standard hours
  • Must be available for possible / occasional travel


Manages inbound technical support calls Delivers training following assigned lesson plans, using training aids and equipment designated in the lesson plans Delivers content in a virtual settings Prepares for training content including set up on virtual environment Directs classroom interaction to create an environment conducive to learning Participates in advisor mentoring Leads roundtable training sessions Acts in a team lead capacity as needed Ensures that required equipment is prepared in advance Works under tight deadlines with minimal supervision Effectively uses multiple visual aids to enhance delivery and reinforce lesson content Actively engages students and provides appropriate feedback Manages use of technology in the classroom Administers tests and provides feedback on classroom performance Completes and submit course report cards within given timeframes Recommends course modifications Performs other duties as assigned At Home Qualifications A quiet workspace, ergonomic chair, and desk High-speed Internet service (5 megabits download and 1 megabit upload) from a reliable provider


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 1-2 years work experience in a training environment or capacity preferred.
